If you have lost your passport and need a new one. Report the lost passport to thai police who will then give you a case number for the reported loss. You can then take this to the Embassy and apply for a new passport. You are going to have to make an appointment much like most Embassies in Bangkok. If you need to leave urgently, then they can arrange for an emergency travel document so you can return home.
If your child was born in Bangkok, then you will need the translated and certified Thai birth certificate issued by the government. Make an appointment, take the birth documentation and your passport to the Embassy. If you are getting married then email the Embassy as to what you need for the ‘Freedom to Marry’ letter. Once you have this it will need to be verified, translated and certified for the Thai government. You can see how to get married in Thailand on this website.
